Using a two-year dataset of China Health and Nutrition Survey in Jiangsu rural area in 2000 and 2006,the article adopts difference-in-difference method to analyze the influence of new rural cooperative medical system on rural resident's health.It examines the rationality in three types of new medical system-risk type,risk and welfare type,and welfare type.The results show that the new medical system doesn't change rural resident's health status,and moral hazard still does exist.
