Objective To study the characters of dietary pattern and nutrition structure between the obese and non-obese group.Methods Using Shandong province data on China health and nutrition survey,adults from 18 to 65 years in 2000 year survey were chosed as study objects.The principal analysis method was used to analysize dietary pattern and nutrition structure between the obese and non-obese group and the SAS software was used to analyse data.Results Dietary pattern: the contribution proportion of the first principal component in the obese group and non-obese group was 22% and 17%,the cumulative of the fiveth principal components was above 70%.According to the size and direction of the eigenvalues of principal components,the first principal component in obese subjects consisted mainly of wines,sugar,salt taste,heavy condiments and oil,while that in non-obese subjects was mainly composed of oils,salt taste,heavy condiments and grains and rootstocks,which demonstrated that the dietary patterns were different between the the obese and non-obese people,that was the obese people lacked grains and rootstocks and liked the sweet food and alcohol.Nutrition structure:the dedicated rate of the first principal component was 49% and 52% in the obese subjects and the non-obese subjects;there was above 70% at the third principal components.The nutrition structure of the two kinds of people was similar according to the burden and direction of the principal components.Conclusion There were differences between the obese and non-obese group in terms of dietary pattern,but it was almost the same in the nutrition structure.
