Abstract
The article looks at the percentage of overweight people in developing countries in contrast to the percentage of malnourished people, offering suggestions for how they can fight obesity. Changes to lifestyle and diet in developing countries is resulting in the population shift from underweight to overweight. The rise in diabetes among the poor in Mexico is mentioned. Third World inhabitants may possess genes predisposing them to high blood pressure and diabetes.
