Abstract
Over the past few months, I have cared for a young woman who was pregnant with her third baby. She failed her 50-gram oral glucose tolerance test with a mild elevation and then completed a 100-gram three-hour test with normal fasting, elevated one-hour, two-hour value within 1 mg/dL of being elevated, and normal three hour. She was not overweight and had had two average size babies. She had passed the initial screens in the first two pregnancies.
