To be eligible to become president of the United States, one must be a natural-born U.S. citizen; a resident for at least 14 years; and be at least 35 years of age. There is no legally determined disqualifying upper age limit to be president. In the forthcoming election, an unprecedented event will occur. Five of the remaining nine candidates would be aged 70 or older on inauguration day in January 2021. Three candidates (Biden, Sanders, and Bloomberg) would be required for the first time in American history to survive to over age 80 to complete their first term in office.URL
