Abstract

Altruistic peer-to-peer milk sharing is an infant feeding practice that is growing in popularity in the U.S. Debates around I safety concerns of milk sharing have been well-documented in editorials, commentaries, and a growing body of research. In an analysis of biomedical ethics ' milk sharing, breastfeeding advocate Karleen Gribble notes diat "health workers cannot ignore, dismiss, discount, or demonize peer sharing without acting unethically" (2012, p. 110). Health care providers are, thus', faced with the challenge of how to engage with the of milk sharing responsibly and ethically.
