Abstract
In June of this year, in the city of Birmingham in the UK, I experienced one of the highlights of my professional career. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), at its annual World Congress, awarded me a Fellowship ad eundem. I got to don the stylish regalia of the RCOG and was admitted to the College along with the Fellow-elects and Fellows honoris causa. The event was lovely and the nominating speech by our Editor-in-Chief, Khalid Khan, most flattering. This coincided with BJOG's advance from a print-based journal for RCOG Fellows and Members in the UK to a digital journal, which is a momentous change. Our station in the exhibition hall was inundated with delegates wanting to download our app and access BJOG on their smartphones and tablets
