Abstract

Method use failure (which is assessed utilizing a life table measure of discontinuation resulting from accidental pregnancy) is low for the main program methods studied. After twelve months of use, 1.1 percent of injectable users, 1.5 percent of IUD users, 2.1 percent of pill users and 3.6 percent of condom users had experienced an accidental pregnancy.
