Research Interests
My research is focused on the relationship between socioeconomic status, persistent infections, and accelerated immune aging. I am interested in how persistent infection and the immune system’s response to those infections may be one mediating biosocial mechanism of accelerated biological and cognitive aging. My research focuses on studying these mechanisms earlier in the life course to better understand when accelerated aging trajectories may begin to emerge
