I am an MD/PhD student currently working towards a PhD in Health Management and Policy with a focus in health economics. I am interested in the ways in which health, child development, education, and social structures interact to create and reinforce social inequality across the life course. I am currently exploring the relationship between child illness and parent/caregiver labor market outcomes, with a special focus on the gender wage gap. As a physician-in-training, I'm also interested in the ways that health systems can ease (or worsen) the social and emotional burden of mental and physical illness on children and their families.
