The Population Association of America announced the results of the recent election of its officers and Board of Directors. Robert Hummer is Vice President-elect and Amy Tsui is President-elect.

Robert Hummer is the Howard W. Odum Professor of Sociology at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a CPC Faculty Fellow.

Tsui was the Director of the Carolina Population Center from 1997 until 2002 and was a Faculty Fellow from 1985 until 2002. She was a faculty member in UNC’s Maternal and Child Health department. She is now a Professor of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins University.

Leah Van Wey, a CPC trainee alumna, was elected to the Board of Directors. Van Wey is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Brown University.

The terms begin January 1, 2016.
