Gustavo Angeles received a 2017 “Celebrate Teaching!” Award from UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health. Angeles is a Carolina Population Center Faculty Fellow.
Angeles’s students nominated him to receive the award. He was among eight faculty members who received the Teaching Excellence and Innovation Award during a ceremony on March 22.
An excerpt from the announcement on the Gillings website says: The annual award is presented to one educator from each of the School’s eight academic units “who has inspired students; enhanced student learning through creative, engaging and innovative teaching methods; and supported students’ academic success and professional development.”
