CPC Fellow Linda Adair is now leading the Social Sciences and Population Studies ‘A’ Study Section for NIH. UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health posted a news story about her new role, this is an excerpt:

“Linda S. Adair, PhD, professor of nutrition at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, was appointed to serve as chair of the Social Sciences and Population Studies ‘A’ Study Section in the National Institutes of Health’s Center for Scientific Review. The two-year term began July 1 and will end June 30, 2017.

Committee members are selected on the basis of demonstrated competence and achievement in their disciplines, as evidenced by the quality of research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, and other significant scientific activities, achievements and honors.

Adair has served on the committee since 2013.”
